U14 GIRLS BANTAM TRAVEL
We are excited to propose a Girls U-14 hockey team based in East Haven, CT, to compete in the Connecticut Girls Hockey League (CGHL). Our season will run from early September through mid-February, with the opportunity to extend tournament play into the summer if there is sufficient interest. This team will focus on developing players’ skills, teamwork, and passion for the game—both during league play and in tournament competition.

When are practices and how often are they?
- 2 Practices a week

- 2 skill sessions a month.
Games
How many games will they play? What days of the week?
Example: Teams will play up to 10 (Home games) another 10 away games over the course of the season and will fall on the weekends.
Jerseys
Are jerseys provided or are they purchased separately?
Club jerseys are required as an extra expense and may be purchased from vendor that will be provided at time of commitment.
Extra Costs
What costs beyond registration fees should be expected?
Example: Expect team managers to collect funds to cover tournament entry fees for those 4-5 tournaments not included in your tuition.

· Minimized Travel: By primarily competing within Connecticut, we will focus our travel on weekend tournaments that are fun, highly competitive and promote team building. This will allow us to strike a balance between high-level competition and manageable schedules for families.
· Tournament Expectations: We expect our players to commit, prior to the season start of play, to attend 3 of 4 out of state tournaments. We expect 100% participation in the state tournament.
